There’s no doubt that the right pair of faux lashes can instantly transform your look. However, with all the different lengths, shapes, and volume options to choose from, finding a pair that’s just right can be a bit daunting. That’s why we’ve compiled the guide below, to help you identify your eye shape and discover which lash styles will best flatter your eye shape. We even went ahead to recommend some of our lashes that are best suited for each eye shape. Aren’t we the best?
Round eyes have an amazing dimension, featuring a larger and more defined shape. If the whites of your eyes are visible both below and above the Iris when you look directly in the mirror, you have round eyes.
For our round eye babes, you should go for lashes that will highlight your eyes' natural curves. Long, curly, and wispy lashes, will do just that! Wispy lashes with more drama towards the outer corner will create a seductive cat-eye shape and a longer eye illusion, while curled options will help balance out those bright eyes. You can get away with a wide variety of curly lash styles, but you should avoid very voluminous styles as these tend to flatten and weigh your eyes down. Luckily for you, we have an amazing collection of Wispy Mink lashes, so you'll be spoilt for choice! You can also try Tropical and Xena lash styles.
Almond eyes are considered to have the most balance and symmetry. They tend to be oval-shaped and can be pointed on one or both corners. If you have almond eyes you won’t be able to see any white above or below the Iris.
If you are lucky enough to have the versatile Almond eye type, just about any lash style will look good on you. So it’s more about choosing a lash style you feel comfortable wearing. You can take advantage of this flexibility to try out a variety of lashes, even those flirty lashes with unique patterns that aren’t always the easiest to pull off! While most lash styles will accentuate your eyes, full lash styles with an evenly distributed volume tend to be more flattering for your eyes. Some of the lash styles we recommend for Almond eyes are; Kash, Coco, Goodie, Bratz, and Tropical.
Hooded eyes are one of the most common eye shapes. People with this eye type feature an extra layer of skin that droops over the crease, so when their eyes are open, their eyelids are partly or fully hidden.
With hooded eyes, you want to choose lashes that will open up your eyes as much as possible, by creating the illusion of depth. Long and fluttery lashes that taper at each end will enhance your eyes by creating the illusion of bigger eyes. That said, be careful with very dramatic lash styles, as they might close up the eyes. Instead, opt for lashes that are longer and voluminous at the center, these will help your eyes appear way more open. Some lovely Lash styles for you are; Coco, Goodie, Cherry, Lucky, and Chanel.
Monolid eyes are characterized by no visible crease and are most common among Asian ethnicities. Not only are monolid eyes gorgeous, but they also create a blank canvas for playing up with eye makeup and lashes.
If you have monolid eyes, you most probably have very straight eyelashes, therefore a pair of multi-layered lashes with a fluttery appearance will enhance your eyes by giving them a wide-eyed illusion. Lash styles with more flare and graduated length, are a great way to elongate monolid eyes. We recommend that you stay away from very dense lashes as these could make your eyelids look weighed down. Some of our lash styles that are best suited to monolid eyes are; Cherry, Mini Lucky, Xena, and Mini Goodie.
Upturned eyes are another incredibly versatile eye shape. Also known as cat-eyes, these eyes have the same appearance as almond-shaped eyes, but with a natural lift in the outer corners.
For our babes with upturned eyes, you want to go for lashes that will highlight your natural catlike eye shape, as this will give your eyes just the right amount of drama and flair. Choose lashes that are thicker and more emphasized on the edges, and thinner towards the center. Avoid lashes that are especially long in the middle, as they aren’t flattering for your shape and can make your eyes look smaller. Go ahead and try one of these styles; Mini Coco which is also available in Magnetic, Goodie, Coco, and Mini Goodie.
This eye shape is the opposite of an upturned eye shape. Downturned eyes feature outer corners that tilt downwards, towards the cheekbone.
If you have this captivating eye shape, you should focus on extending the outer corners of your eyes and creating length along that lash line, for a lifted and balanced appearance. Look for lashes that are longer in the middle, with tapered edges. Rounded lash shapes can also give downturned eyes the illusion of a lift, and they offer a more natural-looking finish. Some top lash styles for you are; Nunu, Goodie, Coco, and Mini Nunu, which is also available in Magnetic!
The recommended lash styles will enhance the beauty of your natural eye shape, but it doesn’t mean that you are limited to those options. If you feel confident to go for the boldest, most daring lashes, then go ahead and get them! At the end of the day, what matters is that you feel beautiful and comfortable in what you wear.
